Booster pads are also sometimes referred to as diaper doublers. These pads are used in conjunction with another product such as and adult diaper or underwear to increase the capacity of the host product.  Booster pads are easy to change and they extend the life of the host product, making them an economical option. 

Regular pads have a waterproof backing, however booster pads are made of porous material that allowed liquid to pass through into the host product. Booster pads are not to be worn with traditional (non-absorbent) underwear.
